Stay and Eat - Miyama Futon & Breakfast
Toranosuke Nishio, son of the owners, serves chicken nabe, part of a course visitors can order from a local restaurant and cook over coals in the hearth of a rented kayabuki at Miyama Futon & Breakfast.
The accommodations at Miyama F&B are traditional kayabuki thatched roof houses.
Visitors can experience a range of activities, including yoga, aroma therapy, and learning the craft of making thatched roofing.
The houses are perfect for large families or groups of up to 10 (some houses accommodate groups up to 15). Meals can be cooked at the home or ordered. Miyama village is nearby, where you can stroll among kayabuki houses, walk by the river, eat, and shop. There’s cycling, hiking, and more, all in a traditional setting surrounded by forest, fields, and mountains.
